Hard help: Ah, I want to gain weight! - Help.com

Ah, I want to gain weight!

!!

No matter how hard I try it just won’t budge. 6ft - 135 and have been that way ever since I hit 18. 26 now and nothing has changed. I tried the gym, the kitchen, the gym AND the kitchen. Guess what…

I eat, I’m 135. I don’t eat - I’m 135! What gives?!?!?

It might help if you gave an “average day” list of what you might eat and do during the day. Very skinny people and very heavy people both tend to have bad eating schedules and don’t get proper exercise.

You need a mass gainer, because I don’t think you could eat enough healthy calories in a day without spending a small fortune on lean meats, veggies and fruits. It’s real simple math…up calories, up your mass.

I used: http://www.supplementwarehouse.com/vi…

1250 calories a serving, + milk calories + a banana + 2tbls peanut butter calories - 2 months on, 1 month off. At least 1ce a day….(you can do half a serving in the morning and half post-workout or pre-bed)

and btw….work out hard or the carbs will be stored in fat cells…..

When I started (2 years ago) I was 135. I’m 180 now, still solid in a 32 pants size and I’m only 5′9″….if that helps any.

my friend is tall and extremely slim. That’s just some people’s physique - are your parents slim too? Bulk up on pastas and bread but work out too — good luck, Just be healthy …

Thanks, guys.

I’d say I’ve tried everything, but that’d be a lie. I have tried a lot though. I used a calc to get the numbers on the calories I should consume daily and I kept to that for half a year or so and all I got was 3-4 pounds which I lost immediately after I stopped. As you can probably tell that was very discouraging.

I will be starting the gym again in a month or so and give this whole “gain weight” another go but at this point I feel I’ll just be wasting money and time.
