Am I stupid for trying ?

I really want to be an actress and I will be auditioning for a local theatre company next year. Sometimes I wonder what if I don’t make it etc , is it worth it , then I imagine myself having a job besides being an actress and i CAN’T ! I feel empty . It feels like if I don’t try, when I’m older I’ll think ‘what if.. ?’ . Am I stupid to try and be an actress ?

no not stupid, but you might not make it, still try anyway cos you will regret it if you don’t, but just prepare yourself for it, it’s a hard thing to get into.

You have to try despite the possibility of failure. I deal with my anxiety by focusing it in a positive. I was also under the impression that acting comes with a fair amount of rejection. If you don’t get one part go for another. Go break a leg :)
