Thats a hefty price for Christmas. What the heck would you buy? (Assuming your claims are legit)

You don’t need much, do you? What do you do for your needs the other 364 days of the year?

You should be receiving a check each month from SS Disability. Each of your kids should be receiving one too.

This site gives advice. No money here.

Wow, that is amazingly greedy! If I had $20 I could give my kids some nice gifts! If I had $40 I could buy gas to take them to visit their grandparents. Yet you NEED a thousand for WHAT? Wow. . just wow. . .

Rich people begging for diamonds. . . is this what the world is coming to?

Hmm…you could get them:
3 small laptops and a 32 inch TV for all of you to share.

Why dont you just save the money, so you can live better and support your children?

$1,000 for someone who cant afford anything is ridiculous…

Wow. I can’t believe this…like Mariam says: Rich people begging for diamonds.

Geez.

I feel as if I’m fairly financially secure, and I have four kids. I didn’t even spend close to HALF that much for their gifts, and each of them has 6-7 presents under the tree and three presents from “Santa,” which is waaaaay more than sufficient!!!

You know 1000 dollars really does go fast if your poor. Maybe she wants to rent a place, we dont know if she is homeless, then theres food christmas tree, decorations , gifts maybe she wants to invite people over, maybe some clothing, like a jacket hat, warm tops and bottoms, boots….Then she has 3 kids beside, you know even shopping at walmart, warm cloths for 1 person including boots could run upwards of 200 dollars.. I say give her the benefit of the doubt and send her some love, 1000 dollars doesn’t go far when you need essentials…God bless you poster

aeolian, I tried. I usually do give the benefit of the doubt, but this request just takes the cake. If they really have nothing, why even worry about christmas? If the OP is homeless, where are all these gifts supposed to go? If he/she wants to invite people over, those people should know his/her situation and will understand not getting a fancy meal or gifts. Clothing is usually available from local charity organizations, and anyone who had tried to know would already know. Clothes at Goodwill are between 50 cents and five dollars per item.

Usually when people beg for money here I send advice and good wishes. I treat other people the way I would hope to be treated. This one just blew me away. In all my life I’ve never spent $1000 on one occasion, and I definitely would never have the gall to beg for so much for a luxury like holiday gifts!

I feel like how I would feel if I were a homeless person, thinly dressed, hungry and trying to stay warm and some loser came up to me and asked if I could spare a grand so he could buy a new TV.

Sorry man. I can’t whip up even a shred of sympathy.

I have some news for you, aeolian. $1000 goes fast even if you’re not poor! I’m fairly certain the OP has heard of the department of social services, the salvation army, goodwill, churches, etc.

The OP specifically asked for $1000 for CHRISTMAS! I’d be willing to bet (no, not $1000 because I don’t have that kind of money sitting around. Do you?) that the OP is busy making similar posts all over the internet. Do you see any response to our replies? Nothing!

Since when does it require $1000 to have a nice Christmas with your kids? Give her some love? That’s the answer. Love is the best gift of all. Nothing else is needed. Anything more is just icing on the cake.

If the OP is inviting people over, wonderful. In the spirit of holiday giving, go pot luck. Everyone can bring a dish to share.

What does it cost to string some popcorn and color some cut-out ornaments? Maybe her kids would enjoy using some arts & crafts to create some decorations that will become family memories and keepsakes.

Most towns and cities have a tree with lights in a public park. Call it THE tree because it belongs to EVERYONE.

To come here and drop a request for $1000 from strangers (NOT a charity!) on the internet is bold and nervy. It shows a lack of appreciation for the value of money and what it can buy for the average family. There was no question about the economic situations of the users of this site.

I agree with Mariam. No sympathy whatsoever. I don’t want to hear the OP needs $2000 to celebrate New Years!

I think there is missing information here from the OP…We really dont know, and I wish her the best. If she is scamming us, then thats her Karma, but we dont know. Also, I dont think she or anybody will get money from this site.. So I send her love, one way or the other…..Its free, and feels good

You could do some handicrafts your own, instead of buying dull toys, no?
