Is there a way to recover lost itunes items?

I had purchased $30 worth of items on itunes a couple of weeks ago, & then my laptop crashed. I lost absolutely everything, & I hadn’t put my stuff on my ipod yet. Is there a way to get my purchased items back? - as I really don’t want to spend another $30.

Happened to me once. Email itunes and they usually give you a courtesy credit for your lost songs, at least that was the policy 3 years ago. They only do it once, so back up your files
