Do i have Acid Re flux disease.

Ok so my symptoms are lower stomach pain on my left side. Kinda like sharp burning pain. I am belching a lot and got gas coming from the other end lol. I ate some Chinese food today. So im guessing that is what is causing it. But i have had this before. I would wake up in the middle of the night around 5 am after i have ate. With lower stomach pain. The pain was like burning plus strong stabbing pains that lasted around 3-4 hours long. With that pain i would also belch and have gas coming from the other end. Does that sound like i have acid re flux. If not what could it possibly be. Just wanting your suggestions. I will be going to the doc soon. Just wanting to know if it is possibly that or not.

Nope… not acid re flux. Possibly, irritable bowel syndrome. You need to see the doctor and have tests done to know exactly what is causing this.

From what I understand, acid reflex is when the stomach acid comes up as a burp, causing you to want to throw up typically. It also causes burning sensations in the throat and mouth.

Infectious Chinese buffet syndrome. Stay away from the cat and rat palace for at least a month then go back for more, because you know you love it even though it tears your insides out.

What she said.

To give you an idea, here’s a link to the symptoms for GERD (acid reflux): http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gerd…

I have acid reflux disease and take medication for it. It causes burning in my lower esophagus when I eat and burning in my throat when I burp up stomach acid. I can’t sleep lying down because the reflux causes terrible burning in my throat and choking when the stomach acid migrates into my throat while I’m lying flat. So, I have to sleep propped up with my head higher than my stomach.

Your symptoms sound like a bowel problem since it hits you much lower. At that point it sounds like it’s already out of the stomach. DON’T MESS AROUND WITH THIS!!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR AND TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!! THERE ARE BOWEL CONDITIONS THAT CAN BE FATAL IF NOT CAUGHT SOON ENOUGH!!

My daughter had very vague symptoms and nothing was ever diagnosed. Then all of a sudden she became deathly ill and had to be rushed to the ER. It turns out that she had a badly infected colon due to diverticulitis. She ended up having 18 inches of her colon removed to save her life and spent months in the hospital. Good luck!!

Thank you for you reply. And i hope your daughter is doing much better now. Anway, One other symptom i have is that when i eat and lay down at night. It will wake me up with a kinda stabbing burning sensation on my left lower stomach then move up into the middle of my stomach. It dont stay on my lower stomach it will actually hurt if i push on it. It dont it to me again last night after i ate mcdonalds. I woke up with mild pain then it worked up to the middle of my stomach kinda like a J shape. Then i took a Nexium and the pain just went away. But i could not lay down. I had to sit up.

You could also be experiencing gall bladder pain. It could be fats and fried foods that make your stomach hurt. If so you may have gall stones. It’s diagnosed very easily with an ultrasound. But, you can’t diagnose yourself!! You need to see a doctor. I’m afraid that this is one time you can’t just hope that it goes away. There are many things that it could be. It could also be nothing. Don’t ignore it!!
