Hello, I’m a sophomore in high school currently and have a love issue of a sort.

I’ve liked this girl since 7th grade, I was too afraid of reject until the around freshman year to ask her for her number. At the time I rarely saw her, and she ignored me when I texted/called her. The next year she joined my school and we started talking a bit again. She said she had a boyfriend though, so I waited. When she finally broke up with her boyfriend she had to move away to Texas. I’m really depressed now after all of this and I feel like just telling someone since I know I can’t do anything else.

I know in a sense how you feel, but i believe you are describing a crush. I’ve gone through something similar, except my crush ended in 8th grade. I began to mature and believe a crush is just that, a crush. Try and socialize with other girls. I met the love of my life thanks to me having the guts to talk to a pretty face in my geometry class :D

Help me with: I want to kill myself or harm myself and I’m not entirely sure why.

Trust me I’ve tried, hell I’ve tried not liking her but she always reappears. Whenever I’m near her my heart races my hair stands on end and I can’t stop smiling. I don’t really like any other girls I know, and when I start to like a girl she crosses my mind and the girl just seems insignificant.

Thats a bummer huh?! you wait and then shes off again. I am sorry and I know its not nice for you. You will forget her, you just need time. If its meant to happen you will meet again but I would definitely not wait in hope again. Life is full of lessons, and may be this one was yours.

ok, i really need to dig up my old help.com account because i know i have several posts saying this exact same thing. The best thing you can do is get close to another girl and ask her out. Let them pre occupy your mind. I dated a few people back then, and everytime i did i completely forgot about the girl i had a crush on. eventually i forgot about her completely as a crush, and even when i was single was ok with things. Now I’m dating this amazing girl who i wouldnt change a thing about and I love to death :) trust me, it will pass. Ill try and dig up an old post of mine it was exactly like this one.
