for the past few days, my friend has been asking me for scissors in the middle of class.

at first i thought it was nothing, but then he showed his arm. It had cuts all over. he had been cutting himself.
I am so scared for him.
What should i do???

tell an adult. it is very unhealthy and can get worse. I’ve seen people in the hospital who cut so bad (on accident) that they cut through the skin to the fat. They had to get staples. Cutting is an indication of a deeper psychological problem that needs professional treatment. The best way to help your friend is to try to help him get professional help.

and it is very scary and upsetting when a friend is cutting, so make sure you also get the support that you need.
