You may not think that everyone’s posts are important, but the people who post them do otherwise they wouldn’t have posted them. If you don’t like a post don’t read it or don’t comment. Simple as that.

The irony of this post is that it is absolutely devoid of profundity.

Having the popular post position hardly constitutes popularity among other help.com users. All it means is that one’s post got several replies in a short period of time. The posts that usually make it to that slot are the ones that are controversial or fun to discuss. However, if the post in the ‘popular’ position does not satisfy you then you do not need to read it or reply on it. Also, what you may deem unimportant may very well be important to the OP and if the post is within the guidelines of this site it will be allowed to remain open and as is.
