This world that I’m living in…

.
Is growing increasingly vague and dreamlike. Its odd. I don’t quite feel like I’m here, and never seem to register any emotion. When good things happen, I don’t realise it, or I do but feel no elation. My mum’s death which occurred nearly a year ago feels like a bad dream, keep having to remind myself she’s actually gone and not just on a really long holiday. I just can’t seem to keep on this planet……I barely register people, events. Everything feels like its slipping away really quickly and I try to hold on, but I can’t

Nice introspection. The more you can learn about yourself, the better others become in knowing you. The old you is what is slipping away. The new you is emerging. Like a butterfly out of it’s cocoon.

what do you do most of your day?
do you have any addictions?

i’m asking because too much of another world detach us from this one.
try to focus on different thing, it can be hard in the beginning, but after a few weeks you’ll catch up.
new social circles and new creative outdoor hobbies can do the job faster.

You are cutting yourself short. You have more power to get where you want to be than you are giving yourself credit for. Being a teacher is a very noble calling. Being able to impact young peoples minds on a daily basis; I can think of none better.

on a different point of view,
your mind might know what is best for it, and your drifting is a sort of natural mechanism, to keep you functional until you mend up.

best thing you can do in that case, is to be patient.
and maybe help it a little, with the same things you would have done to help yourself deal with things like a heartbreak.

Universities want to see you succeed, not fail. There is only one that controls your own destiny. If you look into a mirror, you will find her. That’s not to say you don’t need assistance. But “we” meaning everyone around you, can only show you a map. You must take each step necessary to complete the journey.

Well if she takes a month off from her studies, she’ll fail. If she takes a month off from her job, she’ll be fired. She CAN’T take a month off from life and her family unless she takes a sabbatical to a monastery or some island with no other human contact.

So any other bright ideas barbyman?
