I thought the Green Bay Packers were going to win and they just got toasted by the NY Giants. Now I think maybe the Patriots will win but I hate them so I will not vote for them. Hopefully it will be Baltimore or NY… I am going to vote for the Ravens I guess.

I was just as surprised as you on the Giants win. But they did play better than the Packers and deserve the win. Kudos to the defensive line.

I also hate the Patriots. No. Not hate. Despise!?? maybe? Is there a stronger word? Vomit on the hoodie of the coach Belichick…?

So that all said, I’m voting for the team that truly deserves to win, the
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP….

And @ Dr. Ralph. How do you know 236 users? You were cheating off of Puck’s paper again weren’t you?!!

Cait the numbers are the ratings for the top 25 TV shows last week… NFL playoffs are 1 and 2. It has nothing to do with who will win.

Yeah vomit on the hoodie of the cheater Belichick. I am down with that sentiment. He actually had his hoodie up last night it was so cold. Even Tebow and Jesus combined were not good enough to defeat him though…

Goodfella are you really pulling for the Pats? I know you are from Philly do you usually cheer for the Eagles or do you even pay attention to professional football?

I, ah, don’t follow football. I had no idea there was a superbowl coming up. I’ve rarely been a fan of watching other people do things, only in doing things myself. And football has been fun to play from time to time, but only a few times ^^ I subscribe to a different hobby during the superbowl…

Uh, I’m in Australia and I don’t really follow NFL largely because, apart from anything else, its never aired. Although I did watch the Super Bowl once because it was actually broadcast on free-to-air TV and I was curious. The NY Giants are the one team I’ve actually heard of so I’m gonna go for them.

All right who is in on this bet? Zbrow and Sonicboom? Sonic will become Snowdrop (her favorite character from Watership Down) and Zbrow will become Eli Manning if the Patriots lose. How about that deal? If the Patriots win I will change my avatar to their logo. https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/ima…

Maybe the superbowl can be like Miss America this year and all the teams can go stand behind the Denver Broncos and they can get back in the running. Otherwise, who cares who wins.

I saw that Miss America thing. It was really strange this year wasn’t it? I think the whole world was freaking out on the Broncos defeating the Steelers, especially when you look at the statistics. First of all Tebow has drawn a lot of flack because he used to always have the Bible verse John 3:16 written under his eyes and for praying after touchdowns. Then in the upset over the Steelers he threw for 316 yards and averaged 31.6 yards per pass and the Nielson Ratings for the game were 31.6… :0

In a poll right after the game 42% of Americans felt God or some kind of divine intervention had something to do with the success of his team. People were posting pictures of them self “Tebowing” or kneeling down in prayer.

Dani the Ravens really looked good this weekend. They are mean and strong and I love Ray Lewis. Everyone in the NFL is scared of him and for good reason. “Following a Super Bowl XXXIV party in Atlanta on January 31, 2000, a fight broke out between Lewis and another group of people, resulting in the stabbing deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Lewis and two companions, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were questioned by Atlanta police, and eleven days later the three men were indicted on murder and aggravated assault charges. The white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the killings has never been found. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard alleged that the bloodstained suit was dumped in a garbage bin outside a fast food restaurant…”

Yet he is still the leader of the Ravens even though he settled a civil lawsuit by the family of the dead man for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Not cool. All effects of the bet are to take place as soon as possible after the game is over and last at least one week unless otherwise specified.

Also- Snowdrop would be a cool name, in my opinion.

Actually Cait there is a lot of history in trying to get Sonicboom to change her name to Snowdrop… she hates it and she had a poll on her new name years ago and I invited 300 people and told them to vote for Snowdrop and she lost and never changed her name… she claimed I cheated then too. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Cait you can be Snowdrop too if you want, I guess. I thought it was a pretty name.

God I just can’t stand the Patriots Lol! Mainly because everyone my area is a Patriots/Red Sox fan, and I just HAVE to go against it all. But, also because they’re a pack of cheaters, they shouldn’t have won any Superbowls. I have nothing against Brady he’s a great QB and I knew he was better than Tebow (he was all hype anyway). I just have a problem with Bellicheat.

I can understand your resentment a little bit. However, since you live in the right area, if you were to become a Patriot’s fan and go to a football game once in a while, I bet you’d LOVE it.
Yeah, I don’t know how the Patriot’s are cheaters, either. Please, do tell.

I stopped caring about who wins the Superbowl 3 days ago, when the Saints lost to the 49ers. I’ll probably still watch it, but just for the commercials. Maybe I’ll record it on the DVR so I can run it through the slow parts.

No the Patriots were making illegal tapes of the other team practicing right before the game. Before the game the teams run through their first ten or twenty plays so they are all on the same page. Everyone is banned from the stadium while they are doing this. Bill Belichick secretly taped the practices and knew what the other teams were going to do and ended up winning three Superbowls in four years before he got caught.

They gave him a slap on the wrist and a small fine and burned all the tapes. He should have been kicked out of the league and burned at the stake, or at least had his Superbowls taken away from him.

He has not won a Superbowl since they caught him cheating…

Actually they fined him a half a million dollars and took away his first round draft pick the next year, but supposedly the man who owns Kraft foods and owns the team paid for Bellicheat’s fine. Kraft probably makes a half a million a day just selling mayonnaise and cheese…

Its a serious contender of a super bowl run for the giants.. they got the plays and the players. there is no room for hope :P if there is.. then my money is prob lost on either baltimore or SF. but since money is involved.. .. Don’t feel bad, most billionaires are evil bastards. It comes with the territory. The owner of the 49ers got busted bribing the Governor of Louisiana $400,000 to get a riverboat gamboling license and was fined a million dollars.

The NY Giants were founded in 1925 with an investment of $500…. they are now worth $895 million. They are on the up and up.

The Baltimore Ravens are owned by Steve Bisciotti who started a staffing business for the aerospace community in his basement the year he graduated from college and made $1.5 million the first year… he is clean as a whistle.

Go Giants, go Ravens!

I wonder what percentage of American’s think the Patriots made a deal with the devil to be doing so well year after year. Stupid Belichick…

The Patriots beat the Ravens 23-20. The Ravens had an easy 32 yard field goal with no time left to tie the game at 23 and go into overtime but their kicker missed. Professional football players are not supposed to miss 32 yard field goals. He probably lost a multimillion dollar job because of it.

Yes the Giants and Patriots will play in the Superbowl again. The Giants beat the Patriots in the Superbowl three years ago. The Patriots were heavy favorites and were not supposed to lose. They did.

This game is supposed to be their chance to get revenge on the Giants so they will really be psyched up. Unfortunately for them the Giants quarterback Eli Manning is playing better than he ever has in his life and if he has another game like the one last Sunday the Patriots will lose again and you will forever be known as Snowdrop…. hee hee hee.

There are goal posts at each end of the field. If you kick the ball inside the posts of the goal you get 3 points. Here is a video of a 61 yard field goal. 32 is supposed to be a gimme…

I was hoping the ravens rove over the Patoots, its a shame btw u should see the face on the kicker after he missed. Football is about miracles under immense pressure.. Like with the Tyree catch that led the giants to overtime. Eli was bound to be Sacked but he managed to wither his way out to throw a ball Into the hands that was saved by the reciever’s(tyree) helmet. sigh.. so many emotions that day.

Okay further thoughts on the Superbowl. The New England Patriots got caught making illegal tapes of other teams and it was a big scandal since the Patriots had won three of the last four championships at the time. That was 7 years ago and they have not won crap since…

This is a chance to redeem themselves and show the world that they really are a great team not just a bunch of scheming lowlife scum. I want them to lose so bad it is not even funny.

I like the 49ers; have for years. But I truly believe that the Giants are the much better team and stand a much greater chance of winning than would the 49ers if they were in it. Go Giants!!

“Listen — this is what it takes to kick a field goal. You run onto the field, you get set up, you kick the ball. Most of the time, if you’re a professional kicker, you kick the thing through the uprights and your team gets three points. Sometimes there’s a bad snap, other times there’s a bad hold, and sometimes you just plain miss.

That’s it.

The Ravens, though, in the wake of their 23-20 AFC Championship Game loss to New England, would like you to believe otherwise. They’d like you to believe that not knowing the down of a play earlier in the drive can lead you to miss a kick, they’d like you to believe that the ticking clock was out of their control and worst of all, they’d like you to believe that a scoreboard error was part of some funny business done on purpose by the cheating Patriots, who just can’t help themselves but cheat all the time.

“I don’t think you can rule anything out in New England, can you?” Ravens kicking consultant Randy Brown told a Baltimore radio station when asked if he suspected the Patriots intentionally altered the scoreboard to gain an advantage.

For background, kicker Billy Cundiff, who shanked the would-be game-tying field goal, said that his pre-kick routine was disturbed because the Gillette Stadium scoreboard had the wrong down on the screen. On second down, it said first down, and on third down, it said second down. So when fourth down rolled around, Cundiff only thought it was third down. He had to rush on the field, and he told a Deadspin correspondent that the confusion contributed to the horrendous kick.”

I loved Joe Montana he was so cool. He didn’t even look like a football player and he won four Superbowls for the 49ers. Everybody loved them. http://cache.deadspin.com/assets/imag…

This all might be true… But excuse me last time I checked wasn’t the Baltimore Ravens a “Professional Football franchise of the the National Football League?! That excuse might have been ok in high school but Come On..!!!

Any excuse is good when you are the kicking coach and kicker who blew a Superbowl visit. It is better than “can we please keep our jobs?” Especially when you lose to those cheating cheaters Bellicheat cheat cheat. Dammit girl get your mind right… it’s all about hating the Patriots. You only have 8 days, 19 hours, 44 minutes, and 10 seconds… http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/46

They are new and long and they have famous people in them. Companies spend a fortune on them and they have hundreds of millions of people watching so they try to put their best foot forward.

Las Vegas came out with the odds today to bet. The Patriots are favored by 3 points.

Tomorrow afternoon is it. Tom Brady’s wife sent a text message to her friends asking them to pray for “Tommy” and it was passed on to the media… hahaha. LOSER.

He makes $20 million a year and his wife made $39 million last year, they have already been given looks and talent and everything else God can give. I think I can find someone else who needs help from above a little more then those two. Pray for world peace and the hungry, not the Patriots.

Hey sorry Goodfella, it is all in the name of the game. Apparently the powers that be do not understand that we are supposed to have a good old feud when it comes to sports. That’s what makes it so much fun! I will pull for your Eagles next year as my Colts are probably going to be at the bottom of their division once again. I do not see Peyton Manning coming back, and without him we suck.

At least his brother is doing something! Anyone but the Patriots is my mantra. Hooray for Eli!!!!
