Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
I may be misunderstanding you here, but can’t you just use the find tool inside of a PDF and find exact things already? I mean I know you can do it, it just doesn’t work if the text in the PDF is in the format of a picture. If the PDF is using pictures then a program using algorithms to find words would be needed. And short of government level software, I don’t see anyone having a free copy.
i want to cross link several books at once
say 100 text
Ahh, then I am sure something exists, I just don’t know where that would be.
hopefully why i posted here someone has run across it
if not then i just give away a million dollar idea
I know of no program that will do that. A database will only be able to search the file name of the pdf; not any of the contents of the pdf itself. You can search internally the pdf itself of course.

Not a million dollar idea. Pdf files are not ascii. So the files can be easily
searched I would think. But maybe they are ascii.
Try searching a file you know has the word in it.And try windows search tool
on the test file.
well with most pdf minus the heavy graphics one are under a mb except bigger books
with today computers there should be a program that will aloow u to opeen several pdfs at once in one window and then creat the database that will allow u to typ in in cross check on several books
hell this computer has 8 gbs of ram
No dice. Windows can’t find words INSIDE a pdf file. Your only solution is to convert all the pdfs into doc or txt files.
that would not work for me i need pdfs because of the symbols
i got bored and came up with the idea of cross checking every culture legends/demons/gods/ghost
see what matches with out the symbols that some assign to the names it is worthless
Search For Text Inside Multiple PDF Files With Your PDF Viewer’s Advanced Search

search text inside pdf
One of the biggest advantages of digitizing notes, if you’re a student, is that you can search for text within Word documents and find where you last saw a phrase that you now need to consolidate with your new lesson. We’ve seen how to use DocFetcher to search within PDF files, but if you already have PDF-XChange Viewer, Foxit or even Adobe Reader, did you know you can already search for text inside PDF documents without additional programs? I didn’t know this so I thought it might be something good to share.
This might be useful too, if you own a large collection of e-books in PDF. I know I have a few copies of the free manuals that MakeUseOf distributes, plus a lot of PDFs for each of my classes so knowing my preferred PDF viewer can do this is tremendously useful.
PDF-XChange Viewer [Windows]
Even with its free version, PDF-XChange Viewer has pretty mind-blowing features. I’ve been using it for quite some time and absolutely adore the fact that you can customize keyboard shortcuts for any function. However, I didn’t realize you could use it to search entire directories until after searching all over the web for a PDF document search tool. It turns out the Search feature in PDF-XChange is pretty powerful and fast. You can either go to the Edit menu > Search or go to the drop-down menu for the Find feature.
With that program I think you might have to compile all 100 ‘books’ into a single directory and just have it search inside that directory. Hope that helps.
i am guessing here that u are a lady

And no the word “plated” was not in the file title.
It found it inside the pdf file.It must be in ASCII after all.
if anything comes out of my mouth and helps spark a idea in someones head or makes them think———– i look at it as if it was a good deed——i have gotten some of my best ideas because of others words or actions
and it not just one file it is several in fact 96 pdfs
@spiratec9. What about multiple pdf files at once? I believe that’s what JM wants to do.

yes like you said just put all the pdf files into one folder and tell windows
to search for say “plated” and there you go.It will work.
He should just try it with two or three to see if it works.
Just Max. Are you looking for examples of plagiarism by chance? The same content printed in several different tomes?
for one
i have a idea when i was a little kid i use to hear stories from everywhere because of my family and parents friends and there is alot of overlapping details
i have done the religion side of this took 11 years
so now i am doing the other side the only thing u really carry in life is what u know the rest can be lost
To filter the text typing search “two” won’t work.
But “two shooters” will work.Refering to JFK .
ok here is a quick ex of what i am using
egyptian book of the dead——-the key of solomon
now with both of those files open i can use the search and use key terms to sync up and see if there any matches in the text
now add in another 94 books
i go under the general idea that if something is repeated and used over and over and over again how ever unlikley it might sound it most likey is the truth
and if the cultures never had a chance to meet or talk even better
for those ppl that might need something along the lines for later
