Problems with virus protections

My internet explorer doesn’t allow me to go onto any of the virus protection websites. It just comes up with ‘Opps! Internet Explorer cannot find www.avg.com‘. It does the same with all the virus protection websites. Also my McAfee virus protection isn’t working properly. Each time I open the program it says, ‘We cannot check your security status now because your computer is not connected to the internet or the Mcafee Security Scan is temporarily unavailable’. The computer is connected to the internet, but it doesn’t allow me to even get onto the Mcafee help site. Can anyone help with this problem please

It seems that you have a virus on board. A virus which repels virus antivirus software …
Never heard before, but could be possible. I don’t know how to manage it.

have you tried running in safe mode, if that does not work try a system restore.

try to disable/uninstall Mcafee.
