I know I’m shocked. I really liked her singing though she didn’t appear anywhere for the last few years so that was a bad sign. So many talented people die with drug overdose. Such a shame.

They have way to much money, that’s the problem!

At the beginning of her career she had such a beautiful voice! And at the end it was only a cheap copy.
This poor girl had bad buddies too …

Feels very bad! :-(

Bad life experiences (bad marriage with Bobby Brown), plus some substance abuse issues.

RIP.

SOME substance abuse!?
She was epic with drugs, to be honest I am surprised she lasted this long!

Amy winehouse went the same way.

I think famous people if earning over a certain amount should have to donate half their earnings to their countries homeless and poor.

Hey LazyMcCoolBeans - Ok. I hadn’t been following her life for a long while. But it just feels bad to see how alive she was with ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’. If it comes to such a state, it is a tragedy. I am aware Bobby Brown beat her a lot. I (also) blame the people around her who provided the sh!t to her that got her into drugs and all.

One can’t help but think they are not tee different from us. They need love and acceptance too. What they do have is the opportunities and money and the consequent lifestyle that does no good. Sure, she had more talent than most. That did get her the money. That is one thing that sets her apart from most people on this site - most of whom are lonely, have issues, are somewhat messed up, need love, comforting. And I speak mostly about me here, lest someone takes offense.

But, isn’t it rather sad, to suddenly hear someone is no more? Then MTV and Channel V will play their songs. The media will have some sort of showcase and programs for them.

I believe they gave us a lot of value. The price some of them pay for ‘wrong’ choices and the career path - is rather tragic. And I believe she started singing from her church choir.

It is a rather tragic life path if we were to try and capture just one significant thing each year in their lives. And see how this crap often follows tremendous success…

How different are we in our deeper needs, really? I suspect not too much.

Yeah I get what you are saying but it is fame that isolates them from the help that ‘normal’ people would go to first.

I mean being famous kind of makes them think they have to always look good and always be doing good and well, so anything that shows they are weak they don’t want to show and that leads to them suspecting everyone of trying to make a story off them.

If she had not been famous and had not had that amount of money I doubt she would have ended up the same way.
