I’m getting ready to start my own bakery, just recently started working on menus and such, but its the legal/financial part I don’t know much about.

Anyone in illinois (if that matters) have any advice on what to do and not do to start your own successful business?

have you visited the governmental office for the small business administration? they have workshops and materials that help you think through a business plan & financing. its free help & a friend of mine used it to start her business.
