I think most club dances are purposefully sexy or attention seeking. That’s what dancing is, really.

I’d say learn a style of dance that could be used AT a club, for example tektonic (my fav!) or jumpin (easier) or hardstyle (harder but cool). Or you could create a sort-of routine for a few really popular songs that you’ll be sure will play at least a few times during the night. It also depends on whether you’re male or female. Girls (as long as they’re moderately attractive) can do basically whatever and look like they’re doing it on purpose. Guys need a bit more refinement.

I also heard that guys look better dancing with short jerky motions, wheras girls look better dancing with smooth, flowy motions.

There’s also this incredible dance to dubstep that’ll give you inspiration, or maybe a ladyboner :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=…

If you’re not afraid of looking stupid you could alternatively just let go and do whatever your body feels like :D
