my problem is i thought we’ll be doing an analytic research paper.

so i picked out about the economy of japan.

so right now i have notes about economy, education, and their culture..

so can you help me come up with a good argument? :

well i thought we’re making an analytic paper right

so i came up with a thesis statement(which i haven’t thought of well)
:Although japan was devastated after World War 2,  she was able to recover well and became a developed country over the years since the Meiji Era because of effective strategies combined with discipline and loyalty of her people, therefore, it should be an inspiration for our country as well as all others.

then i was like making a report about japan in my outline O_O…

prof. said it needs major revision. and i dont know what to do because
i only have very little time left

we were given freedom to propose a list of topics that we want, then if one is approved then i can start doing research..

what i need now is an argument and a stand… which i cannot think of any…

ok, is suspect you need a major revision because all you’ve got is disparate notes a no real focus. Also your argument is dated. If you were going to look at Japan’s economy it has foreshadowed the credit crunch/recession/depression and been stagnant for years. Particularly the property market.

You could what the West could learn now from Japan’s economic troubles with a particular focus on the property market.I believe they’ve had a bank interest rate of 0 per cent for sometime.

the other tack would be to look at the cultural relation with the West has Japan become Westernized or have we become Japanesified (not really a word) Hey the paper could be titled: turning Japanese.

My interest is animation: films like Spirited Away are often seen as japanese animation. But there creator was influenced by the Belgian clear line art of Herge (TinTin) and Disney and - for laputa-the flying castle a trip to Wales, and the Welsh valleys, it is a truely global product.
This relates to globalisation and localisation of the economy of media production.

Beyond that, i really don’t know more.
