Seems that you saved the PP the wrong way.
It must have the suffix “.ppt”

What Zirbel said, also if you are on a Windows machine, you can have your default program for opening PowerPoint files set up wrong. Right click the file, click “Open With” and choose PowerPoint.

It must be powerpoint file corruption. If it’s true you should make use professional recovery utility.
