Long time sufferer of adult ADD.

Recently stopped self medicating with cannabis so as to be able to find employment. Now that the substance is out of my system my mind is back up to overdrive and my ADD is back with a vengeance. Cant sleep unless tottaly wiped out (like every 26 hours). Bored with everything. Cant think of one thing to do. Gettin snippy with friends. Apetite nonexistant. Any advice?

Um yeah… practise anxiety management techniques.

Meditation would be a good place to start.

You have to teach your brain to focus and you need to get your brain out of panic mode which causes all of the distraction.

“boredom” is actually anxiety… you are in a state where you cannot concentrate long enough to find the value of any activity so you don’t engage in any activities except those that might distract you…but you know you want to or should do the activities you can’t focus on
