Seems that they have reasons for to deny the license, no?

Yes,but the complaints are from people who have moved in having been fully warned about the potential of noise. The Cowley road, where the Hi-Lo is situated, is a street in Oxford made up of many independent bars/restaurants, most people who move there know that there will be a certain level of disturbance and make the decision to move in or not based on how much they mind. The Hi-Lo has recently spent a lot of money installing sound proofing systems etcetc(Eye witness here). The problem is mainly a couple of neighbours who have taken a disliking to it and are being difficult on a ‘personal’ level. This is one of the few venues left in Oxford with good quality, live music and unique atmosphere.

I wouldn’t be so passionate about it if it was fair to take away the late opening license and more importantly the license which allows live music and bands
