Think of a good joke, then tell it with pictures. If you can, pay attention to facial expressions which are a huge part of comic strips. Otherwise just tell the joke with a comic.

Oh! I love thAT BOOK! Plus, I am good at comics (I had to make one about a book I was reading in english) ok.

Make the comic at least 10 or less boxes.
Pick a scene in the book, and go from there. Say, you want to draw when the girls went shopping to try on the pants.

Box 1- the girls walking into the store
2- (Who tried the pants on first?) Whoever that was, draw her finding the pants.
3- she comes out and looks good
4- next girl tries them on - she’s surprised
5- and the same for the next girl
6- and CARMEN is last to try it on
7- They pushase the pants
8- Go home in Carmens attic and decide what they are going to do with the pants
9- whos first?
10- they hug The end
