Because the government gets a lot more money from it being illegal than they would if it were legalized.

Certain studies have “proved” it less harmful, while others have “proved” it to be just as harmful or in some cases more harmful.

Basically, they jury’s still out on this one, sorry.

Actually, it’s organized crime that gets the big bux.. and can then ‘buy’ politicians who will then ensure that it stays illegal. Look at prohibition and how it HELPED the mafia ‘n such.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that you can grow something like that right out of your own closet, so they wouldn’t be able to tax or get any money from it. With tobacco and alcohol, the average person can really make it on their own, not without the know how and equipment. Not only that, the government gets huuuuuge bucks from busts and fines, being as marijuana is so wide spread. So, there are a lot of factors that play into that.

As for it being less harmful, I’m not sure. But marijuana DOES have more positives, as apposed to tobacco and alcohol, which have NONE.

Hemp proved to be a better cheaper alternative to paper, so the paper companies decided to get rid of the competition, and made marijuana illegal

marajuana is bad no its good whos paying for the scientists to study the affects thats what really matters
