is it possible to split 2 programs audio (ex.

blogtv) going to my headphones and (ex. Zune) going to my speakers… i have one headphone jack on my laptop and one on my seprate monitor i have connected to the laptop

At the same time? Not without 2 separate sound cards I don’t think so. You can try posting your question on one of the tech forums such as cnets, http://forums.cnet.com/
You will want to give as much detail as you can provide, i.e. OS, sound card name and model, wiring used, etc.

Some Realtek soundcards do support double streaming, but it usually disabled by Realtek’s drivers and can only be enabled by using Microsoft default drivers. In that case, it is possible to set in the application options which output to use: either the laptop’s speakers or a headphone jack. If the laptop has multiple headphones jack, you can’t use them separate though. It is always laptop speakers / headphone jacks, and it is not easy to accomplish.

Outside of this situation, the only way it is to use 2 separate soundcards, like southern_comfort mentioned. Since you have a laptop, the easiest way to do it would be to get a USB soundcard. To choose which soundcard you want to use with a program, you should set it on the program’s options.
