WALKING:LIKE THE OLYMPICS!
Walking is so fun. I walk to school, home, on a walking trail by the train tracks at the park. Its so much better then sitting, being bored! I want to encourage everyone to walk at LEAST an hour today! If you do, make sure to take plenty of water. C:
It’d also be fun to go with a friend/friends. So you can be silly while looking around~. Play basketball, soccer, baseball, any sport thats fun. Sorry about this odd post, I’ve been loosing weight just by walking, now I’m a healthy 132.5 pounds (5″8 height). But I still have a bit to go.
You could all walk to school/work/where-ever if its not too far away. My schools only about 1.9/2 miles away, thats a good distance. And just walk when your bored!

wowieee what post thanks for the Invite Mindhealer. :)
i love to walk and talk with my friends too :D
I walk to save money on gas, miles and miles, nearly daily. Eventually I may give up my car altogether. (Or it might be repossessed, but I hope not.) My six-month-old daughter insists we take a daily walk even when we don’t need to go anywhere. I don’t think of it as exercise, though, just transportation and maybe recreation.

also it’s a good idea to spend time with kids :)
i go almost everyday with a friend to a mall everyday we buy something to eat and than start walking and talking and laughing.
:))
I love to walk too. We have some beautiful walking trails where I live. Walking is like a meditation to me. It relaxes me and just makes life feel better.
Great post! Thanks for the invites.
It’s too far for me to walk to uni but i will walk on the treadmill at the gym for you :P

wow what a great post * ( Sorry for spelling Mistakes lol )
Its a good idea that u play different sports and also walking,im a sport teacher at school and university and really like it .
But Sometimes i get so tired that im supposed to deal with some student and teaching them different sports as they like.
Walking is ‘heart smart’!
I walk nearly 5 miles every day. It’s great!
Walking to work and school helps protect the environment from pollution! I walk for about 1 hour every day.
I walk half an hour each way to college and back :)
Yes yes yes, I walk too! :) But that’s because I don’t own a bike, don’t drive a car, etc.
Still, it’s great to walk. I’m training to join the four days marches (40km every day). I hope it’s gonna work, but I hurt my foot, so now I’m behind on the training schedule…
132 pounds for 5′’8 is good, why would you want to lose more?
Does waddling and wheeling count? :o)
I really love to walk. Unfortunately, between the roads around here end right at ditches, and the roadway curves, we really have to get in our cars, and drive to places where we can walk safely. However, whenever I go out, I walk a lot. Project mom, good job. A body in motion, tends to stay in motion.

I’m OTH, now. But even so, the mountians and woods have been my playground since. . .well. . .forever.

- oh those too!
I walk absolutely everywhere, or occasionly run. if its within 2 miles ill walk no matter what, if its within 4-5 ill walk it if im by myself. I love walking.
I’ve watched far to many episodes of Forensic Files and Disappeared to want to walk by myself or with a friend anymore. However, I did used to walk every where, when I was young, those were my glory days. Thanks for reminding me :)
I like running a lot of places I go. I can’t go very far though. I can run around… 300m at max in one go, 500 if I jog lightly before getting puffed out. I can walk far though, the only thing limiting me being time and dehydration due to limited water.
Back in 2010 I planned out a route and walked around. In 2011 i cycled round quite a bit of the area where I live, familiarizing myself with the area.
It occurred to me so many of us don’t know our area quite as well as say we know the open world game areas. There were some roads I went down I hadn’t before. Because they were out of the way roads that I usually wouldn’t go down. It’s amazing to think of how little land we really know, even in our own country.
Heh, I love walking, and taking the scenic route, it’s always peaceful and helps me think.

Work is over 8 miles away.
Tje nearest shop is 5 miles.
I do go to the gym for about 12 - 16 hrs a week though so i think i can justify driving to work.
Not been to the gym since tue now as i am at deaths door with possible flu :(
My body already feels odd as i’ve missed a few days of the gym.
I’m thinking of having a bit of a kettle bells session in the house while i can’t go out.
Good advice though, everyone can afford to be a bit more active.
i walk to school it’s like 40 min back and 40 forth but i’m soon off so i’llbe doing less walking probly pace sometimes i useto pace for ours thinking about things and sometimes sorting or just clearing my head. i think i’ll still be doing obout that much exersice when i’m off though or so but i agree walking is reliving and healthy and i to lost weight i useto be 130 and now 105 i hope you get to your weight goal too:) thanks for the invite truth seeker

Wheeling has to count for something.
Some of us are not able to walk.
Fantastic idea! I haven’t been able to do very much walking lately due to injury, but have always loved being active. I don’t drive, so walk and catch public transport to get to most places. It’s such a great thing to do, particularly in cold weather =)

Wheel away, it counts. you are getting physical exersice and you are enjoying being out doors.
I can imagine wheeling counts more on uphill slopes.
i cycle to and from work, 22km per day. if i go anywhere else during that day i bike then too. do i still have to walk for an hour today? :(
i’m not biking full tilt the whole way, because it’s a long way and there are quite a few hills. i get to work in about 45 minutes, which is like 11 km.
11km in 45? How do you do that?
(then again, I am thinking in terms of a BMX, which is the bike I’ve got)
aha, yeah i have a full size mountain bike, you get a better stroke than you can get with a bmx, plus you have gear levels. if you do the math (i didn’t, its an estimate :P) i’m only moving something like 10-12km/h… which varies with wind. god i hate the wind.

Fantastic… mind your toes!…. weeeeeeeeeeee…….
i love walking, i’m always walking and roaming around
i like walking too! but ive always walked by myself… i want to walk with friend but i dont have any, besides if i did they would think walking is to much work… i need a walking buddy just to go out and walk around with and have fun
That sounds like a good idea. I should get started. Also why do you want to lose more weight. I’m 5′8″ and my goal weight is 145. You are in the healthy range once you hit 160.
I love this post. Even just reading the title name in my notices is enough to make me smile! :)
I got out and walked 3 times this past week and I am feeling pretty good about it.
Agreed we are not meant to sit all day. We must keep active to stay healthy mentally and physically. We all have a time on this earth so its best to be comfortable in your own body. Its good to drink water but don’t over do it, remember we get water from everything we drink and eat during the day.
I like walking when the light pokes thru the black paper of nite.. Mayb holding hands with the moon…
