computer help: I’m having problems connecting tightVNC over LAN. - Help.com

I’m having problems connecting tightVNC over LAN.

I have both viewer and server running on both computers.
On either computer if I run the server and add a viewer from there (reverse connection) using the local ip it works, but if I try connecting to the server from the viewer it says failed connection.
