It’s at least as real as a bunny that hides painted eggs every year. :)
And you are quite correct, 3/4s of people eat the ears first.

-Chili beans?
-Jelly beans?

I don’t know what the STATS say, but the first thing I would eat on my chocolate Easter bunny were the candy eyes….and if he were holding a candy bunch of flowers I’d eat that next…then the ears, arms, and then the rest….
LOL…cool question, Mindhealer! :))
Hope the Easter Bunny drops one off at my house tonight!
If not, well….I’ll just hit the 50% off sales on Monday…lol.

Good tries, but the correct answer is “Jelly Beans”.

From which Anglo-Saxon goddess’ name was the word “Easter” derived?

First Sunday after first full moon after vernal equinox.

mindhealer wrote:

Eggs

mindhealer wrote:

I eat the feet first.

mindhealer wrote:

Jelly

These are WAY too easy. Try these on for size:
What is the origin of the word “Easter”?
What is the significance of the egg with relation to Easter in the pagan and in the Christian traditions?
When were chocolate bunnies invented/popularized?
Who invented jelly beans?

Wikipedia? Ok, the history of the chocolate bunny and jelly beans is a bit obscure, (I don’t know the answers, so it was unfair of me to ask.) but the egg significance and word origin questions are reasonable.

Mariam* wrote:

It’s a word that means “Spring”. It’s a spring celebration.

Mariam* wrote:

The egg also represents the new blooming life of spring, as the world comes back to life. This is one reason why it also makes sense as a time for the Christian celebration of Jesus coming back to life and also bringing life back to humankind.

Mariam* wrote:

Rabbit candies were invented in Germany in the 1800s.

Mariam* wrote:

The great Willy Wonka.

I’m guessing (A) King Tut too, though I’d call it a decorated egg, not an Easter Egg, because Easter is a Northern European holiday/goddess, not ancient Egyptian. I do know that the decorating of eggs predates Easter, though I don’t know whether symbolism of spring/rebirth was attached to the decorated eggs in the other ancient societies.
