How can I make myself have an ear infection or at least make the doctor think there’s something there?

I’m depressed as hell all the time and I really don’t want to go to school, so I faked an earache and now my mom wants to take me to the doctor. She’s already made an appointment and if she figured out I lied to her then I’m going to get in a lot of trouble and feel even worse. If it could take it back I could but right now I don’t want anymore stress. I just want to know how to make myself have an earache.

Hi, school used to make me depressed. You have a serious issue and its not your ear. You need to discuss your worries about school with your parents. you need to be taken seriously. The issue here is a real illness- depression.

Yeah, lying more to cover a lie. Then when the doctor can’t find anything they schedule for an MRI and you keep lying. Oh yeah, keep lying till they biopsy your brain.

It’s natural to not tell the whole truth about what is wrong with us.

One reason is that if we knew truthfully and deeply enough, there wouldn’t really be a problem — it would be something to easily solve or otherwise cope with.

Another reason that could explain the tendency to deceive about our problems is because knowledge of our true problems, illnesses, flaws and weaknesses, can give people unfair advantage of us.

The reason I thought up these reasons that could cause lying, is because if you can be more conscious and aware that lying itself is just another symptom of the underlying problem (similar to how Tymbus mentioned that you really have the problem of depression), then with this conscious awareness that you really do have problems needing to be taken care of and do have natural reasons to cover up the actual problems, with this full self-awareness you can talk to both your mom, the doctor, teachers and friends, about these symptoms (like depression and fake earaches and the self-harm of wanting real ear-aches), and get the help you need. I hope that made some sense.
