site help: I ordered a dvd box set for $57 and I received it and the dvds are pirated. - Help.com

I ordered a dvd box set for $57 and I received it and the dvds are pirated.

They’re on recordable cds and the disc numbers are handwritten. It was shipped from China :/. What do I do? How can I get a refund? I’ve already contacted the site but I’m very doubtful that they’re going to respond.

What site was it? And honestly hopefully you take this as a lesson to heart. Never buy from a site that isn’t reputable with good reviews or from a user for that matter.

When I buy on ebay I only ever buy from someone with at least 100 review comments and at least a 95% satisfactory rating. Otherwise your gambling for something to go wrong.

As he said.
And don’t look out for a cheap price only! That’s the result of greed.
That’s your own fault!

Yes I usually check out the reviews of the site but I was in a hurry to buy this time. The site is Coopers Dvd Store. Isn’t there anything I can do? It turns out they have a fake address on the contact us page so I can’t report them to the BBB.

And please, don’t just lecture me. I know I made a mistake, like I said I’m usually very careful about these kinds of things.

I put the website into google and the first thing that came up was reviews of the site, http://www.complaintsboard.com/?searc… and http://www.complaintsboard.com/compla… both saying that they are pirated dvds.
How did you pay for them as if you used something like paypal you might be able to get your money back and if you put your credit/debit card details in then i would see about canceling the card so they cannot steal your card.
