usually means dyed black hair with fringe in eyes, miserable … almost goth like. lots of eyeliner, maybe some bright eyeshadow. skinny jeans/ dark clothes? tends to listen to my chemical romance etc (this is a stereotype and ovbs people differ)

Emotional…
well that is what my 12 y.o. claims, however, I tend to disagree. She is not allowed to wear makeup. She does sport a lot of black clothing, and yet she is NEVER sad or serious. She says she is emo and likes emo music, which I do hear occasionally when the ipod earplugs drop, but yet she listens to Never Shout Never also, so I guess I can’t help.
Apparently, it is supposed to be an individual with lots of down emotions and wears clothes accordingly…

I just asked my room mate what exactly “emo” means…she said that it basically means “filled with angst”…”emotional”..

well i ask because i dyed my hair black (just for something new) and my bf said i looked emo and he loves it. . .i dont get it, why would he want me to look sad/depressed?

some guys maybe like girls more subdued and vulnerable? maybe he has control issues? i’d guess that could be two things: really hot, or really bad.
