Has anyone ever stop posting here, even under anonymous,
because of the negative feedback or the feeling of knowing that the moderators see who you really are?

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
hmm, after i started dating my loser ex, i kind of stayed away from help.com because i didn’t want to hear negative feedback about my relationship. but it was what i needed to hear and almost as soon as we broke up i found this site again.
i dont like to post because no one responds no really cares about helping someone there is just a tun of negitive ppl
The only time you should worry about the moderators is if you are caught trolling with no shame. Anonymous or not, when you’re busted, you’re done. But it has to be shameless because the mods are usually happy to let you argue within reason. So, by and large they will let you be and keep your anonymous posting in confidentiality. Also, if the posting is very personal and they see you, so what, they’re pretty respectful about your identity.
And who cares if you get negative feedback from a post you made anonymously. That’s what it’s about (duh). You keep your open icon name and avatar in tact.
Just don’t mess up and forget to hit the “Reply Anonymously.” The second you don’t, the jig is up. What ever happens from there, good or bad, is technically your fault.
Many people leave because of negative feedback, never to be seen again. That doesn’t seem like a good thing, in general. I don’t know about the anonymous thing, I don’t use it.

(sorry OP I have to say this)
Lauryn, I don’t know why YOU are being negative. Based on your previous posts, people have responded, people do care and there is no reason for people on help.com to turn irrationally negative over people they don’t really know. They genuinely care and want to help. Why else would anyone give up their time to specifically answer YOUR (or other individual) posts?
Sounds like you want people to just agree with you….. Now that is one thing you will not find on this site.
To OP: No but I can understand people not posting because moderators know they are. I have also posted anonymous simply because I wanted to be too honest without upsetting anyone with my opinion. I don’t think that is wrong (?)
‘Any opinion is worth expressing if it is positive and constructive.’ — the FAQ. But it’s not easy to tell what sort of answer might seem negative to another, we generally do our best to help.

I doubt if any kind of web site moderators have the time or energy to troll posts written here.
That’s true - they’ve never trolled one single post. . .

They probably have real lives and other jobs away from here (perhaps even moderating other bigger CBS web sites) and don’t even come here unless they get some sort of technical problem reported via email or something.
With some moderators that’s true. But as you’ve said, you haven’t been here as long as many other and. . .you don’t know the life-lacking that some mods have.
Alcy it’s okay, you make purfect cent$. It true that people make posts where they just want someone to agree with them and/or justify their feeeeeeeeeeeeelings.
Oh yeah -
:P

Well, correct me if I’m wrong, but how would moderators know who someone really is anyway (as we all seem to be anonymous), and moreso, why would they care? It’s doubtful they are actually users of this site anyway, right?
it’s more about figuring out whether somebody is lying or intending to mislead help.com users. they might not know who you are, but they can track your IP address to know whether or not you’re also coming here on this website and posting contrasting information about yourself. slight details don’t really mean anything, but if you’re on help.com posting that you’re an abused russian mail-order bride in one post, and then saying you’re a 16 year old male who just got his girlfriend pregnant in the next, then you’re busted.
why do they care? one, it’s against the terms of use of help.com. two, because trolls aren’t needed in this community and someone who gets amusement out of lying about themselves to people who really invest time and emotions to help them doens’t belong on help.com.
oh, and mods on this site are active users. here are the most recently active ones:
