So my cat came in last night with two bite wounds and a scratch on his head.

I want to take him to the vet, but I don’t think I have enough money to do so. How much would it cost to take him there? The wounds don’t look infected but i’m nervous and I don’t want him getting sick or worse. Help? Thanks

Don’t worry too much. As the saying is: A cat has nine lives.
So probably he will recover by his own.

Well I’ve heard that but nonetheless :/ It looks like he got bitten by a cat or a raccoon; 8/10 cat bites become infected and I do NOT want that to happen. I just want to know how much people think it might cost.

Well could you get a vet to look at it and then tell you how much it would cost to treat it? I can’t imagine it would be too expensive to just get a vet to have a look.

My cat had to get one of of toes amputated due to a serious infection. I believe the cost was about $200. He is an outside cat so we believe that either something poisonous bit him or he got injured in a fight with another cat.

I should think that just to have your cat examined by the vet that it shouldn’t be too much. The treatment they offer will cost the most I’d imagine. They may try to treat him without your consent or knowledge, as they don’t particularly like to see the cat suffer - and they will probably claim that as well. I understand they strive to be humane, but they forget who has to pay the exorbitant bill after it’s over.

Keep your cat indoors or s/he WILL get feline AIDS or leukemia.
