I need help with an addiction.

My life is getting better, but this is getting worse. I can’t take one look at my friends without imagining them naked. I can’t take all of this shame and guilt anymore. help
And if you haven’t guessed, my addiction is porn.

this is just same addiction as any other so you have to menage it like any other addiction. I mean abstinence, get support from anyone, talk to specialist if you feel you can’t deal with it by youself. There is nothing to ashamed of. And iy’s not your fault

There is always something standing behind addiction. Maybe you should analize your life and find out what is really bothering you. Your addiction is just a symptom of somethig more going on inside of you.

Hes right. I used to be like that but I guess I grew out of it. It’s just normal

I think my bf has this problem. It’s always sex with him and I’m starting to find it annoying and it hasn’t even been a month yet. I don’t know how old you are but maybe it’s something you will grow out of. If not then you have to work on this. Maybe a partner would help but if this is the case then don’t pressure them with sex or talk about sex all the time it’s so off putting.

Addictions come out of looking for relief from anxiety.

Feel anxious, indulge in (overeating, shopping, porn, alcohol, drugs) feel all kinds of pleasurable and strong sensations that distract from anxiety…. rinse and repeat.

So look for other ways of handling your anxiety directly instead of using one of those other methods.
