I assume you mean “Canon Powershot” camera. There’s a dial on the top (or side) with different modes for shooting. You want the macro mode which usually has a picture of a flower on it. There’s also a super macro mode on some Canon Powershots. I am not sure exactly which model you have. IF you can’t find the flower/macro mode, shoot me a response with your exact model. I have had six powershots!
