Body Image Crisis

So I’m 22 and have been a size 4 for the past 5 years. My body hasn’t changed since I can remember. I started gaining weight, so naturally I hit the gym…well now I’m even FURTHER from getting into my clothes, I’ve GAINED weight and I’m eating less and exercising more. Someone PLEASE tell me how this is possible over 2 weeks time. There’s no way that I’ve gained enough muscle to make me gain this much this fast, and how in the WORLD am I having an even harder time fitting into my size 4s? I know women can’t get bigger from lifting weights… seriously what’s the deal?!

i don’t know about the dress size, but i know some women gain weight after working out because muscle weighs more than fat. so you’ll look more in shape, even thought the scale number might go up a bit.

it may be possible that you’re looking at your weight number go up on the scale, and you’re imagining that it’s harder to fit into your clothes. i mean, after 2 weeks, there shouldn’t really be any significant change at all.
