Family living on unemployment only - denied Medicaid and public assistance.
Income is less than $16,000 per year. Mom and Dad pour their energy into their kindergartner who has been tested at the highly gifted level, with further testing being done. Depression is setting in, and residual functionality is being compromised for each day this supremely capable individual is left by the wayside.
Dad has highly desirable skills in banking audit and fraud detection - recently laid off. Whoever has overlooked this man and not seen him as worth mentoring, is sorely missing out. He has a work ethic that is an employer’s best asset. He is making peanuts, but shows up every day to work, nose to the grindstone, able to perform analysis and has an innate ability to think logically. No formal education, however, at 34, his work experience alone is worthy of not less than a Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience. He maintains confidentiality and knows how to keep silent over matters within the worksite that that are not Germaine to the task at hand. He is a gentle giant. Six foot five, a heart of gold. He is a Native American.
I am a retired Deputy County Administrator in Central New York. I have known of employees that are most desirable and the person I speak of is at the top of that list. This is someone I could hire and delegate to without agonizing over every minute detail of the task. Administrative oversight is all that is necessary. LOGIC CANNOT BE TAUGHT - nor can mathmatical aptitude, nor can loyalty to the organization. He has earned the right to climb the ladder, or at least share the same wrung as his peers.
Mom has phenominal creative talents that emerge through her artistry in custom font development, art, and poetry. To spend an afternoon with her is to realize that her value is not to be underestimated, Under belief that she may never have children, her (now) five year-old daughter came as an miracle and blessing of the highest order. She is fostering her development and giving her every ounce of energy as she continues to develop.
While they currently reside in Jacksonville, Florida, they would consider relocating to southern Georgia. They wish to be close to their parents in Callahan Florida. Here is my request:
1). Dad needs a solid job that he can settle into for the next 30 years. He is conscientious and does not boast his abilities by advocating for himself - so I’m taking the lead. I don’t believe this Native American Is capable of disappointing his mentor….. And is headed for greatness from the individual who can nudge him from his comfort zone and recognize his amazing character and talents
2).They are at risk of eviction. I can arrange for my local bank to set up a dedicated account for the administration of contributions for this family.
3) I believe they would best be served by living in a less populated, less transient area. I believe the lack of medical care for Mom is directly related to the area they live in. Moms needs are basic…however, the physicians she has seen due to a lack of financial assistance and insurance are quickly exacerbating her situation. She suffers from PTSD and is not undergoing any form of treatment.
4) Their daughter is amazing. Her future could be awesome if given the right educational opportunities.
5). AT MINIMUM, they are being undeserved by the government aid facilities in Jacksonville. Recommendations for how best to maneuver the quagmire is invaluable.
Thank you so very much
