I sell jewelry on etsy.com, I sent most of my stuff to a shop in Antioch to sell in there shop so my stock is low. The website to my etsy is ayoko1.etsy.com but the only legal paperwork I did is for registration.

Okay; I don’t know what the biz requirements are in Illinois.

Start by calling your State Department of Revenue, and asking them what you need. You’ll for sure need a business permit, so call your City Hall and ask about that. You probably need to register a business name, but I’m not sure who you have to do that with -it’s the state registrar here, but every state is different.

Then to start making money you’ll have to figure out who your target customers are and how to reach them.

I looked at your shop, and you have some cute things. I suggest raising your prices, or people will think it is mass-produced junk. Also, keep working on your photographs. The text will help people find your items, and the pictures are what will sell it. So write your text like you don’t have pictures, and take your pictures as if there were no words allowed.

While you’re at it, join the Etsy forums and a few of the teams. There are thousands of people there and they are usually very happy to help newcomers get started.
