I just swiped a brick pillar with my car( rear 1/2 way down 1 1/2 feet long, I have a $500.00 deductable with my car Ins.

CO. I was trying to decide weather to call my Insurance Co. and put in a claim, however
I was going to be selling it this month or using it for a down payment and I was going to be leasing a new car. What should I do?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. K

Hell, you got any friends that could give you a quote on the work that’d need done?

Can you tell us what kind of car it was? And do you still owe money on it?

The car is a 2003 Murcury Grand Marquis w/ 39000 miles. No I do not owe any money
on it.

You probably DON’T want to file a claim if your insurance premium will go up. You’ll wind up paying a LOT more for coverage than just biting the bullet and either trading the car in as it is, or getting a shop to repair it out of pocket.

Sad to say, your car isn’t worth a huge amount of money even with that few miles on it. I’d save the money and trade it in like it is…unless I can convince you to keep driving it. That car has lots of life left in it!
