This is either going to be seen as a good idea, or completly riduclous; most likely the latter.

In short,i think England should revive the Anglo saxon/ Old English language. I’ve always felt that because i’m english i’ve had to repress my identity, i feel like i can’t fly the S A I N T george flag because of the history of invading and murdering and football hooligans which sorta make me ashamed of it. I see myself as English first, British second; and admitting i’ve got a little envious over the Welsh and Scots cos they proudly speak their own language and it’s their heritage they should be proud of it.
I’d love to learn Old English and have a bit of my own heritage.Granted it’s difficult to learn but i have the time. I’d love for it taught in schools and maybe one day we could have old english on road signs, it’ll be awesome:)And maybe we could switch to the white dragon…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:White_Dragon_Flag_of_England.png and i’ll feel that little bit close to Wales:)
But again, Welsh speak Welsh, Scottish speak Gaelic, even the Cornish speak cornish. English should learn Old English as a second language even though it’ll be as useless as speaking latin in these day but i think it’ll be a lingistic link to our past and a divide from the nationalist b******rds and football hooligans.
