Got cortisone shot on monday?

Got it monday in L4 lumbar spine for a herniated disc. I felt good for 2 days and after that some decent discomfort. Today woke up in misery (pain from back down around the ankle and tingling) and I’m kind of worried. Info says it could take 1-2 weeks before the shot starts to help/has full effect but I don’t know. Anyone have any experience and know if this is ok/normal? I’m paranoid and don’t wanna be in that kind of pain anymore… Thank you!

I had one (for the same reason, but included an anesthetic) and the effect was pretty prompt. Some residual pain/swelling from the injection itself (felt ‘tight’ around my back with pain at the injection site) and that was about it. Lasted for about a month and then wore off.
