My boyfriend is in the air force, and I have recently joined the air force as well.

Although he is not the only reason I joined, I obviously really want to be stationed at the same base. I know you get to fill out your dream sheet and whatnot but still-what are the chances I’ll end up where he is?

I think the higher your grades, the more likely the chance you’ll be stationed where you requested.

I really think this is a bad idea, they say working together isn’t good for a relationship, I can’t imagine how well serving your country will go when you two are together…

If you get married, you’ll be stationed together and in the same house. There was a husband and wife that entered basic together when I joined the army, they were not allowed to speak with each other except under special circumstances and it was supervised.
Also had a girl join and her husband was a LT, so once she was done with AIT she was going straight to the perm duty station with him.
It all depends.

If you are married, you can apply for a joint domicile.

If you are simply boyfriend and girlfriend, the military couldn’t care less.

That’s what I was thinking as well, you had to be married to get the same place. That’s interesting that that couple weren’t allowed to speak with each other during basic. Thank you for the information.
