I like the blood and the sting feeling. It’s like an addiction I guess but I know it’s bad for me.

Self destruction is all fine and dandy, but to rip your flesh with a knife is, while a temporary release, a very harmful and useless thing to do.

What caused this urge?

a good way to stop temporarily is to sleep, and when you wake up write down everything good in your life. do this everyday until you dont want to cut yourself

actually, keeping away from sharp objects can sometimes make the urge worse because you are constantly thinking about sharp objects, which can then cause you to want to cut yourself more.

Meditate. My friend taught me a trick about this.

Lay flat on your back. Close your eyes and envision yourself there. Now, imagine that all the horrible things in your life, like this addiction, as the most disgusting color you can think of flowing out of your body. It takes a bit but it can relax you and help.

Go for a walk with a knife in your hands.

i didnt mean to be by sharp objects more, because you would still be thinking about it more. just dont try to avoid or be by sharp objects. if you go by one, you go by one.
