help, my internet went down last week, when my internet

provider came out they replaced the modem, b4 my playstation went online with no problem, now it is telling me that a port number 3658 is behind a firewall and while i can get online this may prevent me from connecting to other players…i have disabled my firewall on the modem and the router….still nothing works. i have spent 3 days on the phone with playstation, netgear, and my internet provider and have gotten nowhere. please someone help me.

I think the firewall is from your provider side, blocking both traffic direction on that specific port. Ask technical support from them, to open port 3685 for PS connection.

I’m not familiar with playstation, but in PC games, if your side has firewall, outgoing you can still connect to other player games, but they can’t connect to you.

most internet service providers dont block any ports if your useing a router. try setting it so all your ports are open. i have 9 computers and 2 play stations hooked up at once. for all my nephews and friends who always come over to get on line. i use a firewall and anit virus. all my ports are open that i use. the rest are blocked by me. not my isp.

on the router, modem, and computer are open. it still won’t let me connect to port 3658. if you have any other suggestion i would be very glad to hear them though

ok try this! if you have a linksys router. type in intrnet explorer. http://192.168.1.1 type admin for the password unless you changed it. no user name.then when it opens go to applications & gaming then look for dmz click that. then enable it put the last either 100 or 101 102 what ever you router ip is. look under network in comtrol panel your router ip will be like this here is mine so you have an idea. http://192.168.1.100
