Muscle strain need advice

I went to my GP the other day and was told I’d strained my adductor (groin) muscle. The problem is she never told me whether I should rest or not. I’ve been given painkillers, not Anti-inflammatorys because I can’t take them.

Anyone know how I deal with this? I’ve been looking online but most websites I’ve found have been for sportsmen or are no use whatsoever. I’m not an athlete of any kind (I have MS which has kinda limited my mobility).

The best I can tell you when that happened to me I just had to rest and they gave me muscle relaxers. The more you move the longer it takes to heal. Good Luck hope you get better.

Lying down resting I hope, I’m finding sitting hurts like hell as well as walking. I was also given meds to stop muscle spasms (think it’s a muscle relaxant) since thats what caused it in the first place.

Thanks, I hope it gets better soon, it’s already been a week.
