i am new to long boarding.

i have been using my friends long board to practice on. but i want to go ahead and buy my own. i will only be using it to cruise around and go down some hills. not really interested in tricks or anything. what are the best boards for newbies and just cruising? i read about the landyachtz bamboo ripper longboard and thought that one sounded good. any suggestions or anything??? thanks! :]
