I am hopelessly in love with my temporary english teacher.

well, he won’t be my teacher as of tomorrow, because he is leaving for my real teacher to come back from surgery recovery. even after a few months with him being my new teacher, i have grown to feel a very deep connection with him. at first i thought it was lust, but i have realized how much I truly love him, emotionally, mentally, and physically. he has no idea i feel this way about him, but he said we could keep in touch with him on facebook if we wanted to! i’ve been waiting so long for a happy relationship with a funny, caring guy, like he is what i’ve been looking for all along. but there is something more to him that makes me feel happy and beautiful and all the more attracted to him. he is 23, i’m 17. HELP!!!

You are not in love, you are infatuated. Go find a nice boy your own age, i’m sure there are plenty if you just look around you. Also teachers and students should NOT be friends on facebook or anything like that, it is a huge breach of the whole student/teacher relationship and any parents who knew would be furious.

Infatuation: In love with an idea you hold about a person.
Just as strong as love, but completely unfounded. I hope you have the clarity to see the difference, because it’s subtle!
