i have an apple mac pro.

i want to buy an ipad. i was told to get a kindle fire. what i need to know is, will the kindle fire be able to read my emails and facebook. macbook pro uses safari. thank you, micki.

Safari doesn’t work with Kindle, but other browsers do.
But, yes, if you’re used to an Apple device you would better buy an iPad.

iPad is an exclusive trademark of Apple; it can much more than to read eBooks only.

what i want to do is, instead of bringing my laptop everywhere i go, i want to bring something smaller and less heavy.if i go away, to a hotel or a restaurant,etc..i want to access my email and facebook. that’s all. so, knowing this, what can i get without spending alot of money.

In this case the iPad should be your choice.
