I would work on your autocad skills then.

If you dont have a copy, you could instead download Google SketchUp and have a play around with that. there is a premium version, but it costs.

I’m not sure if this is true for engineers in India, but here I was able to get some engineering AutoCAD software to test and evaluate. And that gives me enough time to learn it.
Also, if you are able to, you can work at a place that does AutoCAD work. And when you finish your work for the day you can ask your supervisor to use the software and play around with it. Or just watch and learn from others using it.
You could even meet with an engineer who does design work and ask him if he he could show you.
Furthermore, there are some good tutorials online about how to use CAD softwares, I believe.

Congratulations wanting to learn more =) Some engineers don’t care much about that.

I would have a look at Student.autocad for tutorials - they used to have some very good ones when i was a student.

(sidenote - Dubai is in UAE, not India :D)

I did not know you could get (esentially) free, legal AutoCAD, do you have a link? I would find it useful myself.

My bad ^^ There are a lot of English-speakers on this website from India so I just assumed. =P

Yes, you can get a free and legal AutoCAD. =)

I got it as a student, so I’m not sure how easy it is for others to get it. And I believe it only lasts 30 days. However, 30 days is enough time for me to learn a lot about how to use the software ^^
