Not sure what to do.
I’m at a friends, and Food Network is on with that show Sweet Genius. The host’s last name is Ben-Israel, and my friend asked if he was a Jew. He is, and the child of a Auschwitz survivor, to which another friend told us how that’s silly, since the Holocaust didn’t happen. I don’t even know what to do with myself. I’ve seen all of the camps in Poland, so I suppose I’ll show him my pictures, and tell him what I know, but I feel as if he’s not like this because of lack of knowledge, but because of bigotry. He knows I’m a Jew, and an Ashkenazi one at that, does he think that the Shoah isn’t vital to how I live my life? I’m really just flabbergasted. You don’t go from a population of 13 million to less then 7 million out of coincidence. We haven’t even closed the population gap. I apologize for ranting, but I’m really upset, and just had to get it out. If someone doesn’t know about the Holocaust, I’d go to Yad Vashem’s website. I guess that’s all I can do for now. Thank you for reading. Peace.
