If you are male, the military might be the answer for you. It certainly will change things, but whether it changes them for better or for worse depends on your personality and also on luck.

I wouldn’t recommend the military to most women, not because women are incapable, but because the military culture is harmful to the self-esteem of most women and also there is a lot of sexual abuse in the military that goes unreported and covered up.

An alternative might be to do some volunteer work in your community AND take courses at a community college to work toward a goal.
