Why do we always keep doing what we are doing, despite being bad?

Despite being wrong. why do we keep doing it?
Are we fleeing, are we hiding, are we not living our full potential?
In hs, i used to skip school. boring! if not for friends, it is utterly boring. at work, i used to skip it as well. am i simply chronically unmotivated employer who is constantly lazy? idk. that’s why i am asking. or maybe i do?

Well I don’t think any of us like change really, and we stick to what we’re familiar with, our ’safe-zone’. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but it depends on what the norm for us is - and in your case it seems to play against you.

Boredom usually arises when we are not challenged enough or too challenged. Perhaps your school/work environment never stimulate you enough so you skip it, then you get stuck beliving that everything is boring and probably lose motivation to try something completely new and out of your now, (boring) ’safe-zone’.

Just my theory :)

There are a lot of reasons someone can do this. One specifically is that maybe you believe you can’t do any better? usually people live to their beliefs. This has been true for me.

I like the paraliminals that paul sheele does http://www.learningstrategies.com/Par…

I’ve used that a lot. I don’t get any royalties or anything for saying. I just really like his work. Mostly because it’s easy. I really can just listen to his tapes and see a difference. Big differences the longer I use them. I just decide what I want to do no matter what it is and then allow it to happen in my life. Sounds to good to be true and I wouldn’t believe it except I am doing this strategy every day now.
