How can I recover from this nightmare

I have had a really bad couple of years filled with nightmare but the past week or so it felt like the cloud was lifted. Last night I slept terribly and had a nightmare where my dad came to my house. I am really scared of my dad and I hate him after what he’s done to me and my mother but I thought I was getting past that. Today has been horrible because of this dream I even got back the head and neck pains I had when things where really bad. Does anyone know how I can recover from nightmares such as this.

Its hard to shake of things that are so scarey. I think you should ask yourself what can you do to make yourself feel safer.

You should see a psychotherapist to have a talk therapy which can help you to overcome all this bad things of the past.
